If someone says that
They "allowed" you
To get to know them,
Run.
Leave them
Before they poison you.
They are broken.
You will want to fix them,
But you cannot.
They do not want to be fixed,
And they like being broken.
It makes them feel special.
Being broken allows them
To play the victim,
And playing the victim
Allows them to play with you.
We are the real monsters by RhysRavera, literature
Literature
We are the real monsters
With all things fleeting one is forced to see,
not everything is meant to forever be.
But our minds attach, we build bridges.
But all things must burn, we move by inches.
Because miles are too hard to obtain alone,
and sometimes we have to do things on our own.
But doubt is easy to overcome
Courage and belief are two beats of the same drum.
So when you look in the mirror and you can't see,
you realize you were lost in the hypnotizing beat.
Things fade, people vanish, lives end.
Our only true and eventual goal is to amend,
That which was broken, to rebuild.
So that your life will be fulfilled.
But human nature is hard to overcome.
Jealousy
Cancer managed to claim your life,
It left me burdened with strife.
I cried for you,
Living life in a bluish hue.
I must stand and fight,
Cause this just ain't right!
Losing family and friends,
I will make amends!
This cancer it is a blight,
Life is already finite.
We can not give up hope,
Just waiting, learning to cope.
A difference must be made,
So the doctors receive our aid.
A cure will be found,
To my word I am fully bound!

My legs are drawn up to my chest and I've put my arms around them hugging them closer. I burry my face into my knees, making stars dance in front of my eyes. I'm in the furthest corner from my bedroom door, and the lights are off. I have my headphones in my ears, the music cranked up.
It doesn't block out the sound.
I try to sing along in hopes the words will take me somewhere else. Away from this bedroom; this house. Away from reality. It works for a little bit before a crash sounds, and the house shakes slightly. I see my favourite teddy bear in the corner of my eye. He's not old, not a teddy bear I've had since I was little. Those are in
